Support group for autistic teens to build social skills through Dungeons & Dragons. Connect, role-play, and grow in a fun, supportive environment.

This group is intended for

This group is for autistic teens who want to improve their social skills in a fun, welcoming space. Many teens with autism often feel isolated, struggle to make friends, or feel misunderstood in social settings. They may want to connect with others who share similar interests, but traditional social situations feel challenging and even overwhelming. They may long for a space where they can be themselves, gain confidence, and communicate without judgment.

In this Dungeons & Dragons-based support group, teens are welcomed into a community of like-minded peers, where social skills are built through adventure and role-playing. They’ll gain valuable experience in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving—all in a setting that feels more like a game than a class. This group meets them where they are, offering support and friendship while helping them develop the skills they need to thrive socially, both in and out of the game.

Each session is led by a facilitator who ensures that everyone feels welcome, safe, and included. Sessions involve collaborative storytelling, problem-solving, and character role-playing, allowing teens to practice communication and teamwork in a structured yet flexible format.

Participants can expect clear guidelines, regular meeting times, and a focus on developing skills like listening, taking turns, expressing ideas, and responding to others—all essential for real-life social situations. While they won’t receive formal therapy, they will gain practical social skills in a low-pressure, fun atmosphere. Parents can expect weekly updates on the group’s focus areas and any progress their teens make. This group is about building confidence, connection, and skills that extend beyond the game.
